This Privacy Policy explains how the ToneCraft WeChat Mini Program (the “Mini Program”) handles information when you use it.

2. Information We Process
1. Microphone audio
When you use the tuner and grant microphone permission in WeChat, the Mini Program reads real-time PCM audio from your microphone to analyze pitch and display tuning results on your device.
- The audio is used only for real-time, on-device analysis;
- The Mini Program does not save the PCM audio as a file;
- The Mini Program does not upload, sell, or share the audio with third parties;
- When you leave the tuner, the Mini Program goes into the background, permission is lost, or an audio interruption occurs, the Mini Program stops using the microphone and clears its analysis buffer.
2. Local device settings
The Mini Program stores necessary preferences locally on your device, such as tuner instrument/tuning choices, metronome settings, and speed-training settings. These settings are not uploaded to our servers and may be deleted when you clear the Mini Program’s data.
3. Audio playback
The metronome uses your device’s audio output to provide beat feedback. Audio playback does not collect or upload personal information.
4. Information you choose to provide
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message, and other information you choose to provide only to respond to your question, handle feedback, or respond to a privacy request. Unless a longer period is required for legal or security reasons, we retain this information only for as long as needed to handle the matter and do not use it for advertising.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
As of the last update date of this Privacy Policy, the Mini Program does not provide account registration, cloud synchronization, advertising, behavioral analytics, crash reporting, payments, or audio uploads. During normal use of the Mini Program, we do not actively collect your name, precise location, contacts, photos, videos, or browsing history.
4. Third-Party Services
The Mini Program runs in the environment provided by WeChat. WeChat may process data necessary to provide its platform functions under its own privacy policy. When you tap the User Agreement or Privacy Policy link, your device may open a GitHub Pages page. The browser and GitHub may process access logs under their own privacy policies; those activities are not controlled by the Mini Program.
5. Permission Choices
The tuner requires microphone permission. You can deny or later revoke this permission in WeChat or device settings. The tuner may not work after permission is denied, while other features can continue to work.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Mini Program is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the email address below.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Mini Program’s features, data practices, or applicable laws change. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, we will provide notice of material changes in the Mini Program or through other reasonable means.
